New European Factory: ASI Oy Ltd

December 11th 2019 saw the Grand Opening ceremony of ASI Oy Ltd manufacturing facility in Savonlinna – Finland. The prestigious event was attended by the Mayor of Savonlinna Janne Laine, Director General of Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment Antti Neimala, Business Development Manager of LPCB/BRE Global Martin McCullagh, and CEO of SAMIedu Vocational College of Savonlinna Jukka Mustonen. 


The factrory construction in Savonlinna began in March 2019 with an empty building and within a very short period was completed. In October the production facility passed the rigorous ISO 9001 audit of BRE Global and awarded the highly regarded LPCB mark. Final product testing and certification to EN54-25 will be completed early 2020.

Total commitment and security in continued product supply

Mikhail Levchuk, CEO of ASI Oy Ltd, stressed the importance of the development in wireless technology which provides the highest level of protection and safety. 

“Our mission is to develop and pioneer new technologies in the field of wireless fire and security detection and delivering our products to the Global markets”.  



Beneficial effect of the factory launch 

The speakers underlined the importance of investment in high-tech innovation and production by ASI and the development of bilateral trade and economic relations between the two countries. 

Sergey Sinelnikov - Trade Representative of Russian Federation in Finland stated 

“The arrival of our new investor will have a significant impact on the economic situation of Savonlinna with more than 100 job opportunities being created . ASI will not only increase the growth of export earnings but will be able to enter the most competitive markets of manufactured products certified by European approval bodies”. 

Jaana Rekolainen - CEO of the Finnish-Russian Chamber of Commerce stated 

“Finnish investments in the Russian Federation account for some Euro 14 billion where Russian investments in Finland are less than Euro 2.5 billion. We are pleased our new investor has entered the Finnish market and our cooperation has acquired new significance and taken new forms”. 

Janne Laine - the Mayor of Savonlinna stated 

“We are proud that one of the world’leading manufacturers of fire detection and security systems created its new manufacturing facility in Savonlinna. We confirm, from our part, our williness to provide favourable conditions for futher growth and development of this high-tech production in our town”.
