About company
ASI Oy Ltd is a manufacturing company based in Savonlinna, Finland. The company produces a wide range of products for the protection of life and property, including solutions for the safety of disabled people. Our products have a proven record of performance, quality, and reliability with thousands of systems installed worldwide.
March 2019 ASI Oy Ltd and the Town of Savonlinna signed a Treaty of Cooperation for the organization of production. The manufacturing facility was constructed and commissioned within a record time of 5 months including the launch of two SMD lines and a new testing laboratory conforming to EN 54 standards. The laboratory is fully equipped with all the necessary facilities for fire detection testing - certified smoke and heat test tunnel, acoustic anechoic chamber, light camera, radio channel and mechanical test rigs.
August 2019 the new manufacturing facility in Savonlinna and the first products produced at the new factory were demonstrated to the Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade of Finland Mr Ville Skinnari. December 2019 the Factory Grand Opening ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Savonlinna Janne Laine, Director General of Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland Antti Neimala, Business Development Manager of LPCB/BRE Global Martin McCullagh, and CEO of SAMIedu Vocational College of Savonlinna Jukka Mustonen.
In 2020 the manufacturing facility was fully approved and certified by the world’s leading certification board - LPCB / BRE Global (UK). In record time 13 core wireless products – translators and expanders, fire detectors, alarm devices, input and output modules – received approval to the mandatory standards required in the European fire detection sector.
Since receiving the first ISO 9001 certificate the Finnish production facility has been audited by LPCB twice a year. Zero non-conformities let ASI Oy Ltd switch to a once-a-year audit regime ahead of schedule.
Today ASI wireless fire detection is approved in 83 countries and certified to EN 54 standards by LPCB, to the Compliance for Fire and Life Safety Products by the UAE Civil Defense and to AS 7240 by SAI Global Australia. Our product range became one of the first wireless fire detection systems in Europe to receive the RED certification.
